These urban bikes are just plain posh. The Women’s Vestige commuter bicycle is an urban bike with an eco twist. That’s because the Vestige is made out of new technology produced from flax fibers, a renewable and recyclable resource. The bike actually feels a lot like what a carbon fiber bike rides like when it comes to damping road vibrations. It has designed with a water based paint, partially biologically sourced resin, bamboo fenders grips and and Schwalbe tires that have recycled content, and puncture protection finish off what it’s green genre is supposed to live up to. But aside from its minimalistic carbon footprint, the Vestige holds a few other new innovative technology tricks that are incorporated into the frame tubes. The characteristics of a flax fiber finished frame, ends up being a partially translucent frame. So the Vestige’s design crew decided to add dynamo-powered LED lights inside the top tube and down tube, producing the world’s first urban bike that glows after sunset. To finish the bike off they didn’t back down in the mechanical department either. To enhance the Vestige, it also features a 9-speed drivetrain from Shimano , dependable alloy V-brakes, lightweight alloy double-wall wheels and rear rack mounts for luggage bag carrying, making it a highly capable urban bicycle, cruiser or all-around fun and fitness bike with a high quality meant to put the earth first personality.
