BMC engineers have earned a very strong reputation for how they can package a well rounded tool into a versatile usable package, for example is their little red swiss-army knife you might have with a list of needed accessories. The Trailfox TF01 – Shimano XT Mountain Bikes are no different with incorporating those needed and useful concepts. The full suspension ride is supplied with 150mm of APS travel along with BMC’s industry leading carbon know how, and and trimmed out with strong reputable brands like Fox Racing, Shimano, and Easton components to put the TF-01 high on the list for highly technical aptitude and cross country efficiency.

BMC has mathematically calculated their pivot position points on the Advanced Pivot System, so the full suspension model has very efficient ride dynamics that don’t affect its plushness. All your pedal input gets transformed into really fast forward motion without compressing the rear suspension. This APS design promotes amazing traction when you ride tough climbs with varying surfaces. The Fox Float RP2 rear shock takes control of all the movement. This APS system is so efficient the Trailfox doesn’t need a complicated shock. The RP2 has rebound adjustment with a Pro Pedal switch for added stability when climbing the long forest service roads. The Swiss designers also equipped the Trailfox TF01 with their suspension load indicator to have a straight forward sag setting to get maximum performance out of the suspension.

The Trailfox tf01′s carbon fiber frame enjoys the benefits from BMC’s decade long refinement of the  integrated Skeleton Concept. By utilizing the most current computer aided methods, they are able to tailor each composite fiber tube to perfectly distribute loads to different areas of the frame. And capitalized on this by optimizing strength and stiffness where it’s  most needed, at the bottom bracket junction, the tapered head-tube, and around the shock mount area. What this relates to you is a lively and light ride but still having all-mountain durability. They put a 142x12mm rear thru axle for target style tracking. This frame also sports a post mount for the rear disc brake. This style of mount is standardized and doesn’t need an extra adapter.

The front has been specked with a 150mm Fox Talas FIT RL that has adjustable travel with a 15QR. Also on down the list with a complete Shimano XT 3×10 drive train that includes everything XT: shifters, cranks,  brakes, and derailleurs. Easton takes care of the steering with their lightweight carbon Haven handlebar, along with an Easton Haven post having a Fizik Tundra2 saddle mounted to it. The TF-01 rolls with a DT Swiss M1800 tubeless wheelset and Onza Ibex and Canis 26 x 2.25 in rubber.
